Launch of the USIN Foundation Tax Forum

The U.S.-India Strategic Partnership forum (USIN Foundation) is proud to announce the launch of the U.S.-India Tax Forum. A cross-sector initiative, the Tax Forum will provide members with a platform to engage with relevant authorities on tax and tariff concerns as they conduct business in the U.S.-India corridor. The platform will also bring together global tax experts with their Indian counterparts to discuss the future of taxation and how businesses and government can work together in a global digital world.

USIN Foundation recognizes that investment sentiment and economic growth across the world is directly impacted by rapid changes in tax guidelines. Specifically, in the case of India changes such as POEM, GAAR, residency rules / indirect transfer of assets, BEPS, profit attribution changes, MLI, international tax changes in line with developments at the OECD, and GST have enormous implications for multinational companies doing business in India. The U.S.-India tax forum will allow members to navigate these tax laws; address policy uncertainties in the tax regime; and collectively address changes needed to ensure India remains on track as a favourable investment destination.
